Police have arrested a man following an alleged armed robbery that took place in the early morning hours of Nov. 30.

To ensure transparency and public participation, the Land and Property Rights Tribunal (LPRT) has scheduled a public hearing regarding a proposed annexation of land. The meeting will be on Dec. 12, and continuing if necessary, on Dec. 13. The location will be a virtual hearing on WebEx.  

A Christmas kick-off party was held at the Cold Lake Energy Centre on Friday evening.

The City of Cold Lake administration has undertaken a review of the Animal Care and Control Bylaw.

There were over 95 tables at the Cold Lake Christmas Craft show that was held at the Cold Lake Energy Centre on Nov. 25.

The holiday spirit was evident in Cold Lake on Friday night when over 40 floats made their way downtown for the annual City of Cold Lake Santa Claus Parade.

A report released by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has concluded that an officer’s actions were justified when he responded to a break-and-enter call in Cold Lake in 2020, which resulted in him discharging his firearm.

The Cold Lake Snowmobile Club has approached City of Cold Lake administration seeking a change to the designated snowmobile trail travelling across the northern area of the city.  

It may soon be easier for residents of Cold Lake to keep chickens in their backyards. 

The Cold Lake Aeros continued their season at home on Nov. 19 with a 6-3 loss against the visiting Vegreville Vipers. The Aeros are sitting at the top of the Canadian American Junior Hockey League.
