COLD LAKE - Following a "months long drug trafficking investigation," Cold Lake RCMP have arrested a 21-year-old man and seized "several quantities" of cocaine.
On Jan. 5, Cold Lake RCMP General Investigations Section (GIS) completed the investigation within the City of Cold Lake.
"A search warrant was executed on a residence in Cold Lake North where drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking and a firearm was located," according to police.
Jordan Chief, a resident of Cold Lake, has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, failing to comply with conditions of a release order.
Chief was remanded into custody by a Justice of the Peace and will be appearing in the Alberta Court of Justice on Jan. 10, in Cold Lake.
