COLD LAKE - The Military Family Resource Centre Society (MFRCS) held a children's Christmas pancake breakfast on Dec. 19.
Cheramie Smith, First Flights Manager, stated this was their first year hosting the early morning pancake breakfast, with doors opening at 7 a.m., for the daycare families and educators on the 4 Wing Cold Lake base.
"We wanted to do something for the families to celebrate the holidays, and give everyone an opportunity to get together and visit, to engage with families on a different level."
Staff and volunteers prepared pancakes, sausage, and a variety of fruit and drinks for over 109 people. As people left, they could take home a hot chocolate ornament.
