Face-painted suspect in CCTV image sought by Cold Lake RCMP

Police look for suspects after break-in reported at Cold Lake Regional Transfer Station

Cold Lake RCMP issued a statement on November 10 asking for the public's assistance with a reported break in at the Cold Lake Transfer Station that allegedly took place on Oct. 30.

Although a full day before Halloween, the accompanying CCTV image in the media release shows one of two suspects wearing what appears to be colourful face-paint.

RCMP say the suspects gained entry to the Transfer Station by the landfill tower. Police report that a significant amount of damage was done to the building.

According to municipal information, the Cold Lake Regional Waste Transfer Station is located on the south edge of the City, just east of Highway 28, and is part of the Beaver River Regional Waste Management Commission.

In the new release, RCMP give no additional descriptions of the suspects and do not refer directly to the face-paint on one of them.

Police are asking anyone in the community who may have information about the suspects or the incident to  call the Cold Lake RCMP detachment at 780-594-3302 or call their local police.  Tips can also be received anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
