UPDATE FOUND: Missing B.C. teen may be in Cold Lake area, say police

A 15-year-old resident of Abbotsford, B.C., who was reported missing by her family may be in the Cold Lake area, according to RCMP. There is a concern for her safety and wellbeing.

UPDATE: RCMP confirmed Sunday evening that Kara was found safe and she is back with her family.

 

COLD LAKE – A 15-year-old resident of Abbotsford, B.C., who was reported missing by her family may be in the Cold Lake area, according to RCMP. 

Kara Giesbrecht, who also goes by the name Patti, was reported missing by her family on June 3. 

The 15-year-old was last known to have taken a flight to the Edmonton International Airport. Police have reason to believe she may be in the Cold Lake area. 

“There is a concern for her safety and wellbeing,” state RCMP. 

Giesbrecht wears glasses and has braces. She is 5ft. 2in. tall and weighs about 90-100 lbs.  

Anyone with information on Kara Giesbrecht’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302 or your local police.
