COLD LAKE - On March 9, the Cold Lake Seniors' Society hosted their annual Cold Lake Open Mixed Floor Curling bonspiel.
Of the 16 teams playing, several teams were from Cold Lake, with others coming from Bonnyville, St. Paul, Ardmore, Fort Kent, La Corey, Boyle and the Craigend area.
Jennifer McFarlane, coordinator of the Cold Lake Seniors' Centre stated the event is held so people can have a fun get together.
"It's a way for people to get out and be social and stay active."
During the event, there was also a homemade lunch and snacks served. After the last game of floor curling, cash prizes were awarded for first, second and third place.
