City council debated the potential of introducing ride-sharing services like Uber during its Sept. 17 corporate priorities meeting, ultimately deciding to stick with the current system of taxi services and public transit. 

The City of Cold Lake is exploring a new way to tackle food waste with the introduction of the FoodCycler Pilot Program, a compact composting solution aimed at reducing organic waste from households.

COLD LAKE - City of Cold Lake council has been discussing potential changes to the “Vendor Alley” area at Kinosoo Beach, focusing on food truck accommodations.

City of Cold Lake council has agreed to provide financial support for a Safe Haven Baby Box at Covenant Health’s Bonnyville Health Centre. 

The Canadian Walk for Veterans made its debut in Cold Lake, uniting military and civilian communities to honour veterans and raise awareness for those affected by operational stress injuries.  

Both the Northern Lights Public Schools (NLPS) and the Lakeland Catholic School Division (LCSD) will take steps to honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The shores of Sandy Beach in the M.D. of Bonnyville, near Cold Lake, were sparkling after a community cleanup event.
