Stolen vehicle recovered in Cold Lake with firearm inside, arrest made
A Cold Lake man was remanded in custody after being arrested for being in possession of a truck that had been stolen from a Bonnyville residence the day before. Police allegedly located a firearm and ammunition inside the stolen vehicle.

Oilers Hockey Clinic returns to Cold Lake after seven-year break
One hundred lucky hockey players from Cold Lake and area between the ages of seven and 13, will have the chance to take part in the Oilers Hockey Clinic to be hosted at the Cold Lake Energy Centre at the end of May. A community kick-off barbecue is also slated for May 26.

Province announces $5 million for Highway 28 improvement study
Alberta’s Minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors announced $5 million of government funding to plan improvements to Highway 28. Areas of focus will range from intersection upgrades to the addition of passing lanes. A twinned highway from Bonnyville to Cold Lake may also be in the cards.
