An area man charged with attempted murder was in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on Monday, via CCTV from the protective custody unit at the Edmonton Remand Centre. The accused’ s matter was adjourned until March 9 so that his lawyer could prepare for his bail hearing.
Markien Kuznetsov, 20, has been in custody since January 30, when he was allegedly involved in a shooting incident just west of the hamlet of Lac La Biche. The incident left a man in hospital with a gunshot wound to the side of his head.
Kuznetsov and another man, William Ingram, 24, are charged with attempted murder in relation to the incident.
Ingram was last in St. Paul Provincial Court on February 19. He was released on $40,000 bail [$30,000 surety, $10,000 no cash]. He will be back in court on June 23, 2015.
