Monday was a genuine swelter of a day, and with temperatures in the Lac La Biche area reaching 31 degrees Celsius, people were looking for ways to beat the heat.
In the afternoon, those wanting to cool off could be found running through features at the Paul Richard Memorial Splash-park swimming at the McArthur Park beach, or resting in the shade.
High temperatures are expected to last until the end of the week. Alberta Environment has issued extreme weather warnings for most of the province, cautioning residents to take precautions when going outdoors.
