Chillin' with the chili in the Teen Chill Zone

Serving up the fun

A group of Lac La Biche and area teens were busy in the McArthur Place kitchen Friday afternoon, cooking up their best versions of chili.

The young cooks signed up for the FCSS Teen Chill Zone Chili Cookoff, and were busy adding spices, sauces and secret flavours to their simmering saucepans.

A panel of four judges was taste-testing the results.

We'll try to give you the winning recipe once the heat has died down.

Helping to soothe any chili burns was a dessert of cookies that were also home-baked by the Chill Zone teens.

The Chili Cookoff is one of many events hosted by the Lac La Biche County Family and Community Support Services department to help teens learn skills, and mix and mingle.
