Having a ball with FCSS events

Dozens of youth were at the Bold Center last Friday participating in fun sporting activities.

LAC LA BICHE - Dozens of youngsters were at the Bold Center last Friday participating in fun sporting activities hosted by the local Family and Community Support Services department.

Pre-teens from ages 10 to12 played a series of basketball games on the field house at the facility, while older teens played bubble soccer. Afterwards, the groups enjoyed some social time over pizza and pop.

Throughout the year, FCSS has been holding social activities for youth through ‘Chill Zone’ for teens above 13 and ‘Tween Scene’ for younger kids. The events not only get the youth active but provide an opportunity to learn skills like cooking, painting and public speaking. The regular events also sprinkle in lots of activities.  In recent months, with COVID restrictions relaxing more and more programs have been available to youth.
