LAKELAND - A Lac La Biche man has won $400,000 on a $20 scratch-and-win ticket.
Nick Sorenson won the money after purchasing a $20 200X THE CASH Scratch & Win ticket, according to information from Lotto Spot.
Sorenson said he typically buys Scratch & Win and POKER LOTTO tickets on a regular basis, but when he scratched this one, it took him by surprise.
“I scratched it and then scanned it on the [Lotto Spot] app,” he said. “It was very unexpected.”
Sorenson said he already knows how he will be spending his winnings.
“I’m planning to pay some bills and then invest the rest of it," said Sorenson.
Sorenson purchased his winning ticket from Beaver Lake Busy Beaver Community Store at 3254 Mountain Trail in Beaver Lake 131.
