LAC LA BICHE - The investigation into a collision involving the driver of a black SUV hitting three vehicles parked along 101st Street in Lac La Biche on the evening of July 19 has been concluded. Members of the Lac La Biche RCMP detachment, EMS and Protective Services arrived on the scene minutes after the incident happened, assessing the driver before taking him to hospital.

Firefighters also responded to a gas leak caused by a shattered fuel tank on one of the vehicles that had been struck during the incident. While some crews cleared debris from the streets, others immediately laid down absorbent pads to halt the spread of the spilled fuel, which was making its way toward a nearby sewer drain.

Cst. Jordan Walker of the Lac La Biche RCMP detachment confirmed that no charges were laid in the incident, and that police will not be releasing any further information.
