Lac La Biche County councillors have been out of their council seats for two weeks — and they're coming back to a busy agenda on February 7.
Along with 16 new business items, council is also going behind closed doors to discuss five in-camera items. Some of those items include the continuing discussions on a proposed homeless facility location, information on the development permit process of a new gas station on Highway 55, and discussion about the Highway 881 bypass route.
Open meeting items include a presentation on municipal branding, a discussion on the speed limit on the Caslan connector road, awarding the contract for design plans for the proposed aquatic centre, approval of new municipal water and sewer rates, and a funding request made by the Northeast Mayors, Reeves and Indigenous Leaders Caucus
The February 7 meeting begins at 10 am in council chambers in McArthur Place. The meeting is also live-streamed through the municipal website.
Council last met on January 24. The unapproved draft-form of that meeting's minutes can be found here.
Council meets regularly on the first, second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
