LAC LA BICHE - Fans of vintage vehicles could find plenty to like at the Pow Wow Days Show and Shine event on Aug. 2.
During the annual Show and Shine, which took place inside the Swamp Cats Arena at Lac La Biche’s Bold Centre, people could view various classic cars, trucks, and vans that were on display. In addition to the antique vehicles, there were a few newer models, including a 2025 Corvette, on display too.
The vehicles were owned by local classic vehicle enthusiasts, as well as people who had come to Lac La Biche for the event.
Teneille Tarrant and her parents entered vehicles into this year’s Show and Shine, including a 1967 RS SS Camaro and a 2025 Corvette Z06 C8.
While the family had not participated in the annual car show in the past, they decided to do so this year.
“I have always been interested in the old classic cars . . . I got that from my dad . . . and my mom likes the new one, so we figured, let’s give it a try,” Tarrant said.
Lac La Biche County resident Cliff Chamberlain, who entered a 1984 Mercedes into the 2025 Pow Wow Days Show and Shine, is a familiar face at the annual event.
“I’ve done it for about 20 years,” Chamberlain said.
The Show and Shine, he said, is an opportunity to meet with other classic car enthusiasts and view the vehicles on display.
