RCMP have arrested a man after incidents at Bonesville and Beaver Lake.

An Edmonton man with Lac La Biche ties is being kept in custody until his March 14 court date in Lac La Biche.

Peter Hamelin, 37, of Edmonton is facing two charges of possessing property obtained by crime, two counts of driving a vehicle while prohibited and obstructing a peace officer. Hamelin was also reportedly wanted on several outstanding warrants in relation ot other matters.

Lac La Biche RCMP say that on Thusday, March 4 they were called to a report that a man was uttering threats to others at a property on the Beaver Lake Cree Nation. The call came in during the noon-hour, but the suspect had left the scene before police arrived.

An investigation lead police to a suspect who was near a residence in the Bonesville subdivision, five kilometres south of the Lac La Biche hamlet. Police say the suspect went into the residence and would not exit. A warrant to enter the home was obtained and the RCMP Police Dog Services were part of the arrest.

Police say that further investigation resulted in the seizure of the vehicle the suspect used to get to the Bonesville residence. The vehicle had been reported as stolen out of Eaglesham in northwestern Alberta on March 3.
