While some choose to build at their own pace, others took part in timed competitions where they were allotted only so much time to complete a project. For prizes, winners received LEGO and Duplo sets.

The competition featured four age categories ranging from six to adult, as well as categories for best onsite build and viewer’s choice. In addition to the competition and other activities, there was also a silent auction where people could bid on a LEGO version of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars as well as the Harry Potter Hogwarts castle.
