LIght it up — Contest prizes for best dressed house

Christmas deocorating contest entry deadline is Dec. 18

LAC LA BICHE - It only makes sense that when the name of your community organization is Light Up the Night LLBC — and you've already turned on the Christmas lights of a 40-foot tall spruce tree in the middle of downtown Lac La Biche — you're going to want to light up a few more things.

The Light Up The Night LLBC group is calling all Lac La Biche County residents to Light Up The Night by lighting up their homes. The local volunteer group — made up of business representatives and staff from local agencies —  is hosting a decoration contest offering community cash to the winners.

Enter

Residents are encouraged to take photos of their amazing light displays and post them to the group's social media page. Images sent to the Lac La Biche POST's facebook page, or www.lakelandtoday.ca will also be shared to the contest.

Contest organizers need residents to shine brightly — and quickly, however, as the deadline for entries is midnight December 18.

Local Prizes

First prize is $100 of unique Lac La Biche County currency to be spent at local businesses. Second prize is $75 and third prize is $50 in the specialized local spending cash.

Only homes within Lac La Biche County are eligible.

Lac La Biche POST and Lakeland This Week staff have taken a few photos of area homes getting into the seasonal spirit.  Organizers of the Light Up The Night contest hope to see more residents getting into the spirit.
