A Lac La Biche man who was believed to have been carrying a concealed firearm in public is facing a series of charges after police used a search warrant to seize multiple weapons.
On February 27, as the result of a well-being check on the individual, police arrested a man for multiple firearms offences.
Police are not releasing the name of the suspect who is facing charges of careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm at an unauthorized place.
Local RCMP say that despite the charges, there was not believed to be any risk to the public.
The suspect was brought be before a Justice of the Peace following his arrest and has been released. He is scheduled to appear in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on April 4.
