The Lac La Biche and District Music Festival quietly hit area stages over the last week, showcasing the talents of school-aged performers

The Lac La Biche and District Music Festival hit area stages over the last week, showcasing the talents of school-aged performers.

The week-long event returned for its opening presentations on April 13 from a two-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic.

The Festival showcased young performers in several categories, including poetry, piano, band and choir. The Festival, which has been running in the community since the 1970s, scheduled more than 150 individual presentations through the week leading to a final community concert at Aurora Middle School on April 21

Through the week, youngsters performed on stages in Lac La Biche and Plamondon for provincial adjudicators who offered compliments and advice.

Each of the performances in the week's schedule were open to the public.
