Lac La Biche's The Print Shop worker Michael Kuprowsky works on some of the 140-plus banners that will eventually be installed by Lac La Biche County staff on light poles in Lac La Biche and Plamondon to celebrate this years high local school graduation classes. The municipality has offered to pay for up to half of the approximate $9,000 cost.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, school graduation ceremonies have had to be cancelled or postponed. Virtual events have been taking place, and some schools have organized socially-distanced events as well. École Beausejour recently held a small community parade for its grad class, and the J.A. Williams event is taking place at the end of June.

See this week's Lakeland This Week for the tribute to all the 2020 graduates from Lac La Biche and area high school classes.
