An area man facing several charges, including unlawful confinement, aggravated assault, and a number of firearms related charges, will be back in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on September 8 for a preliminary hearing.

Jordan Gary Lavallee, 22, was arrested in relation to an armed robbery that took place in late September 2014 at the Petro Canada on Main Street in Lac La Biche, which left a man in serious condition.

Lavallee is facing 11 charges in total.

The print edition of this week's POST states that Lavallee was arrested in mid-May after RCMP responded to a call from a residence in Kikino - this is incorrect. The POST apologizes for the error.
