Two arrested after gun reportedly pointed from vehicle

High-risk arrest at Beaver Lake gas station

LAC LA BICHE - A Lac La Biche woman and a man from Wabasca are facing charges connected to a hit and run collision on Tuesday, March 2, that involved a report of a firearm being pointed from one of the vehicles. 

Lac La Biche RCMP say they received a report of a hit and run at 10:30 that morning, where witnesses say an occupant of a vehicle that fled from the scene pointed a rifle. Police located a vehicle matching the description a short time later on the Beaver Lake Cree Nation.

Police say a high-risk vehicle stop was conducted at a fuel station at Beaver lake, where two people were arrested an a firearm was seized. No one was physically injured during the incident.

Priscilla Noskiye, 43, of Lac La Biche is facing five charges including unsafe storage of firearm, possession of firearm in a motor vehicle and refusal to comply with breath demand.

Sean Kotash, 49, of Wabasca is facing six charges including unsafe storage of firearm, possession of firearm in a motor vehicle, and pointing a firearm

Noskiye and Kotash were held for a judicial hearing and  released.

They are scheduled to appear in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on April 4.

As these matters are now before the courts, RCMP say that no further details can be provided.
