Unlocking the case: Lac La Biche RCMP report found set of keys

RCMP hope image of found key rings a bell for owner

If you're missing a set of keys — including several with a 'cruciform' or 'x-shaped' blade — they might be under lock and key at the Lac La Biche RCMP detachment, as police try to find their owner.

Local RCMP went to the keyboard on January 20 to issue a press release saying that on January 11, a set of 23 keys was turned into the detachment. Along with several that are unique, the set also includes a vehicle key.

"Lac La Biche RCMP were unable to identify an owner of the keys and would like to see them returned," said Lac La Biche RCMP Const. Cassandra Calverley.

The keys can be claimed by attending the Lac La Biche RCMP detachment, she said. As safety and privacy are key, the set will only be released upon proper verification of ownership.

The RCMP have released an image of one of the unique keys to hopefully help unlock the mystery.
