A larger-than-usual class of Ecole Plamondon School graduates got a chance to step through the looking glass.
38 EPS students crossed the stage July 5 in a convocation ceremony at the Festival Centre in Plamondon. EPS Principal Morris Holota said it was one of the largest grad classes the K-12 school has produced.
"It's always very exciting to see the young people off into the next chapter of their lives, whether it's entering the world of work or taking future studies," he said. "It's a wide range of abilities in the class and we had to make sure that as many as possible were going to graduate."
Speeches were delivered by Holota, Lac La Biche County councillor Rick Olson, Northern Lights School Division board chair Arlene Hrynyk, associate superintendent Ron Taylor and class valedictorian Jackie Vonk.
