The Healthier Communities Regional Golf Tournament has been part of the yearly fundraising initiatives for both organizations for the last several years. The 2024 competition took place on July 4 at the Lac La Biche Golf and Country Club.

The event, which is a fundraiser for the Craigend Recreation and Agricultural Society, features a perogy dinner and a dance.

The Lac La Biche and District Chamber of Commerce 2024 Business Awards Gala took place on Nov. 16 at the Plamondon Festival Center.

The popular seasonal festival, which has been running since 2010, will feature a concert, bingo, games, and a winter wonderland of beautifully-decorated trees. For the 12th year in a row, the Festival of Trees will run alongside the Christmas Shopping Extravaganza.
