St. Paul hockey teams helped raised over $13,000 for Ben's Cup.

The community outdoor skating rinks were getting some use on Boxing day, after the MD of Bonnyville announced the opening of the Fort Kent and Cherry Grove outdoor rinks.

Catholics from St. Paul and the surrounding areas gathered at the seniors’ centre and walked to the Cathedral Parish for the opening mass of the 2025 jubilee year on Dec. 29.

The Cold Lake Ice Junior B hockey team is aiming to host the 2026 Hockey Alberta Provincials in the city. 

The Government of Alberta says it has an obligation to some coal companies to allow open-pit mining, but these "contractual relationships" aren't quite formal contracts.
