A man who was supposed to be under house arrest was arrested by Bonnyville RCMP on Oct. 26 after police responded to a suspicious car that "kept moving and stopping repeatedly."

City of Cold Lake councillors unanimously passed a motion to send a letter to the Alberta Minister of Affordability and Utilities, Nathan Neudorf, expressing the municipality’s concerns regarding the growing disparity in electricity distribution charges between northern and southern Alberta communities. 

“What’s most disconcerting about all of this is that (Premier Danielle Smith is) willing to sacrifice vulnerable young people and their health and their well-being for her political ambitions.”

There is an increased police presence in Saddle Lake Cree Nation Friday morning, but RCMP say there is "no immediate risk to the public at this time."
