KEHEWIN – On Nov. 10 around 4:40 p.m., the Bonnyville RCMP were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 657 and Range Road 460 on Kehewin Cree Nation.
Attending the scene of the incident were Bonnyville RCMP, Kehewin Cree Nation's Emergency Services and EMS.
According to Bonnyville RCMP, the “investigation determined that an east bound car lost control and struck a guard rail before being "T-boned” by an oncoming vehicle.”
A 20-year-old man from Kehewin Cree nation was declared deceased on scene by EMS.
A 49-year-old female was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
In a statement RCMP wrote, “The next-of-kin for the deceased has been notified and are being assisted by Bonnyville Victim Services and Bonnyville RCMP.”
The Bonnyville RCMP with the assistance of an Alberta RCMP Collision Analyst are continuing to investigate.
