Aggressive man causes $10,000 worth of damage to Cold Lake RBC

Cold Lake RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating a male suspect that is alleged to have caused $10,000 worth of damage at a RBC bank earlier this year on May 9.

COLD LAKE – Staff of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in Cold Lake were left cleaning up after an interaction resulted in an unknown man causing $10,000 worth of damage to the exterior of the bank on May 9. 

Police are now releasing security footage of the suspect to assist in their investigation. 

“The suspect entered the bank and became aggressive with bank employees after they asked for identification to assist with his transaction request,” according to information provided to RCMP. 

The man then exited the building and allegedly picked up a rock and smashed the exterior ATM and wall of the bank, reportedly causing over $10,000 in damages. 

Following the altercation, police were called to respond to the incident of mischief. 

The male suspect is about 6 ft. 2 in. tall and is described as having a medium build. 

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a blue Under Armour hoodie, black boots and a blue and white ball cap. 

Cold Lake RCMP are asking members of the public with information on this incident to call the Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302.
