BONNYVILLE – An Ardmore woman is facing several charges after she was allegedly caught fleeing a Bonnyville business at night while in possession of break-in tools.

Just after 11 p.m. on Sept. 7, Bonnyville RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress to a business on the 5800 block of 56 Ave.

RCMP members attended and quickly located a suspect vehicle parked at the scene.

Responding members then noted a female suspect jumping over the fence of the business in an alleged attempt to flee on foot, according to an RCMP media release.

A short foot pursuit ensued but the woman was apprehended without further incident, say RCMP.

The 27-year-old woman from Ardmore has been charged with breaking and entering a business, mischief under $5,000, possession of break-in instruments, and resisting arrest.

She was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released for court in Bonnyville on Sept. 27.
