Lac La Biche RCMP are rolling out a request for someone to claim a trio of bikes that have been found.

The bikes were turned into the local police by a citizen who found them. The three are mountain bikes, two are blue and one is black in colour. The bikes are Genesis, Roadmaster and Ironhorse models

"We would love to reunite them with owners," says Lac La Biche RCMP Const. Cassandra Calverley. "If someone owns or knows who these bike belong to they can contact the Lac La Biche RCMP at 780-404-2500."

Stolen items

While the three bikes have been found, Lac La Biche RCMP are also looking for lost and stolen items this week.

An enclosed utility trailer parked overnight at the Hylo-Venice community hall on Monday, July 18 was the target of thieves, who took more than $7,500 in tools.

Police are  hoping to hear from anyone with security cameras or dash cam footage between July 18, 2022 at 5 pm and July 19 at 10:50 a.m.

Sports items taken

RCMP are also continuing to investigate the theft of sports clothing from a home in early July. Police say they received a report on July 3 from residents of an apartment located on 102 Ave where several sports jersey had gone missing.

RCMP attended the scene and learned that a window on the north side was open and likely used to gain access to the unit. Suspects took multiple sports jerseys and hats including a San Francisco 49ers NFL jersey, a San Francisco Giants baseball jersey, a Boston Red Sox baseball jersey and some baseball hats.

Lac La Biche RCMP’s investigation into this incident is ongoing, says Calverley, encouraging residents to report any criminal or suspicious activity.

"Reports tell us where to look, who to look for, and where to patrol in the future. If you see a crime in progress, call us or dial 911," she said.

Anonymous tips can also be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
