BONNYVILLE - The 'Our Resiliency Runs Deep 2022 Business Awards' was a night of glamour but was also an evening of validation for hard work, sleepless nights and perseverance through two years of a global pandemic that pushed many local businesses to the brink and some to closure.
Despite the lingering affects of the pandemic and ongoing labour shortages, many of Bonnyville's business owners and not-for-profit employees came together on Oct. 14 to recognize each other's accomplishments and achievements.
Leading up to this year's Resiliency Runs Deep Awards, members of the public nominated a record-breaking 40 local businesses and not-for-profits for seven award categories.
Before the award winners were announced Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce President Lise Fielding and Executive Director Serina Parsons spoke to the strength, perseverance and resiliency of the Bonnyville business and non-profit community. They expressed what an honour it was to be able to host an event that showcased the success and entrepreneurial spirit of their members, and the wider commerce community.
