Charge laid in death of Lac La Biche woman

RCMP say cause of woman’s death not believed to be suspicious, lab results pending

A 29-year old Lac La Biche man is facing a single charge in connection to the discovery of a woman's body in a Lac La Biche home on March 10 of this year.

On July 13, the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested and charged Ali Wayne Cunningham with Indignity to a Body.

RCMP issued a statement on July 15 saying the charge stems from the investigation into the death of 21 year old Tytiana Janvier. RCMP say that although the cause of the woman's death is still pending lab results, they do not believe it was suspicious in nature.

Cunningham has been released from custody with his next court appearance set for August 8, 2022 at the Lac La Biche Provincial Court.
