Duo charged in U-Haul incident, again

Just seven days after a previous incident, two individuals that were pulled over by police in a U-Haul and charged with possessing an assortment of restricted weapons near Franchere, face new charges after being pulled over in the same U-Haul vehicle again.

BONNYVILLE – Just seven days after a previous incident, two individuals that were pulled over by police in a U-Haul and charged with possessing an assortment of restricted weapons, face new charges after being pulled over in the same U-Haul vehicle again.  

On Oct. 25 at 1:30 p.m., a Bonnyville RCMP member located a stolen U-Haul while on patrol in the Eastpointe Way area.   

The two individuals in possession of the U-Haul were arrested for possession of stolen property and released on documents compelling them to appear in court.   

A 42-year-old man and 27-year-old woman from Bonnyville have been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. 

The woman was additionally charged with being in possession of methamphetamine. She is set to appear in court on Nov. 22 and the man is set to appear in court on Dec. 6.   

“This criminal duo is the same pair involved [in a] weapons offences investigation, also involving the same U-Haul on Oct. 18 near Franchere,” confirms an RCMP media release.
