GALLERY: Bonnyville honours Canada's veterans on Nov. 11

The Bonnyville Royal Canadian Legion Branch 183 hosted a Remembrance Day service on Nov. 11.

BONNYVILLE - A crowd formed on the street in front of the Bonnyville Royal Canadian Legion Branch 183 to remember and honour Canadian veterans.

Held outdoors, possibly for the last time, the local branch hosted a Remembrance Day, where community members, first responders and municipal officials stood for a moment of silence, laid wreaths, and heard the Last Post performed.

The 2022 Remembrance Day ceremony also included additions from the Bonnyville Society Singers. The choir performed O' Canada, "Let there be Peace on Earth," "In Flanders Field," and for the first time in nearly 70 years, a rendition of "God save the King" was sung.
