On Wednesday evening, students at Glen Avon School took to the stage to perform their annual Christmas concert. The concert was postponed due to extreme cold weather in December.

ST. PAUL - On Jan. 11, students at Glen Avon School took to the stage to perform their annual Christmas concert. The concert, which was held in the school's gymnasium, was packed with family members.

The concert featured various performances by students in Kindergarten to Grade 9, including singing and instrumental performances.

Due to "extreme frosty weather" last month, Glen Avon's Christmas concert was rescheduled until after the holiday break. It also signified the first in-person Christmas concert held since the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It was so nice to be back in a gymnasium with all of our families to enjoy this showcase of our amazing students," stated Kandy Songer, principal at Glen Avon School. "We were disappointed when the weather did not allow us to proceed in December, but the opportunity to go ahead with our performance on the 11th brought joy to everyone!"

Aundrea Johnson, a teacher at Glen Avon, also said in a statement that "although everyone was feeling a little nervous about our first in-person concert... the students did a fantastic job."

"It turned into a very entertaining evening for all," said Johnson.
