LAC LA BICHE - Last week, groups in Lac La Biche County and the surrounding area, including schools, organizations and businesses, acknowledged Orange Shirt Day, which recognizes the impacts of the residential school system. The series of awareness events are also part of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and saw hundreds of people not only wear orange shirts, but listen to speeches, stories, and participate in events, such as walks, throughout the lakeside region.
