Judge orders sobriety for man accused of trying to break into Ambulance Bay

A Bonnyville man was released on the condition that he not become intoxicated by drugs or alcohol after being arrested for allegedly attempting to break into the Ambulance Bay.

BONNYVILLE – In the morning of March 2, Bonnyville RCMP were dispatched to the Bonnyville Ambulance building on 47 Ave. to deal with a man who had been allegedly walking in the middle of the street and shouting at people. 

RCMP members were informed that the man was reportedly trying to open car doors, and had then attempted to break into the Ambulance Bay and was demanding entry into the building to access drugs.   

When RCMP attended the scene shortly after receiving the call at 9 a.m., they were able to locate and arrest the suspect. 

A 38-year-old man from Bonnyville was charged with attempted break and enter into a business and disturbing the peace.   

He was brought before a Justice of the Peace who released him on the condition that he not become intoxicated by drugs or alcohol.

His first appearance date is March 22 in Bonnyville Provincial Court.
