Lac La Biche Farmers' Market celebrates 50 years

Opening day of Lac La Biche market highlights half a century of support

LAC LA BICHE - The Lac La Biche Farmers' Market kicked-off the 2023 season last Friday with a celebration of the last 50 years of service.

A special dedication ceremony featuring two founding members of the market — Freda Phillips and Cathy Lawson — was held before the 3 pm signal to start the weekly market.

Current market manager Bev Tkachuk thanked local and regional supporters, customers and vendors of the market from the present and past.

More from the market's golden anniversary can be found at www.lakelandtoday.ca

The Lac la Biche Farmers' Market will run every Friday through the summer and fall months — starting at 3 pm sharp — at the Lakeland Agricom building and the outside market area.
