Redwater RCMP have returned a stolen truck back to its Lac La Biche owner, and are now looking for the owner of a GPI fuel transfer pump, hose and tidy tank found with the vehicle.
With the truck being stolen from more than 150 kilometres from where it was located, police suspect the pump could also be a long-distance item.
Redwater police say that in the early evening of March 22, they received a report a suspicious vehicle on Range Road 211 in Thorhild County. Mounties responded and located an abandoned vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Lac La Biche.
The fuel transfer pump and accessories were also located with the truck, but did not belong to the truck's owner.
While Redwater RCMP continue to investigate the file, they are also looking to reunite the fuel transfer pump with its rightful owner.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Redwater RCMP at 780-942-3607, their local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
