Man arrested in relation to Oct. 16 shooting in St. Paul

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged by police.

ST. PAUL - Police have made an arrest in relation to an alleged shooting that took place in mid-October.

On Nov. 1, RCMP arrested a St. Paul man who they believe was involved in an Oct. 16 incident that sent a woman to hospital.

At about 4 a.m. on Oct. 16, St. Paul RCMP received a 911 call that an adult victim of a shooting was in need of help in the area of the Provincial Courthouse. St. Paul RCMP and Emergency Medical Services attended the location and a 35-year-old female victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Nathan Johnathon Kingdon, 38, of St. Paul, has been arrested and charged with discharge of a firearm with intent, unauthorized possession of a firearm, prohibited weapon or restricted weapon and careless use of a firearm.

Following a judicial hearing, Kingdon was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear on Nov. 10, in St. Paul Provincial Court.
