ST. PAUL - The line for burgers stretched all the way down the block from the Servus Credit Union parking lot to the street lights at 48 St and 50 Ave on Aug. 27.
Servus Credit Union and Cornerstone Co-op teamed up to serve just under 400 burgers during the annual rodeo week event in St. Paul. A band featuring Calvin Volrath, Rollie Poitras, and a few other musicians, played for the crowd lunching under the hot summer sun.
MCSNet brought free donuts and coffee for dessert, as well as stickers featuring their new mascot and lawn games for the kids to play.
The barbecue was by donation, with proceeds going to Haying in the 30's, a local non-profit which supports people living with cancer. According to Serena Kennedy at Servus Credit Union, they raised $2,033.
