LAKELAND - Puddles are a welcomed site in the Lakeland region as rain continues to fall.

While the rain put a damper on the annual RCMP Road Race in St. Paul today, the moisture is a much needed reprieve from the extremely dry conditions the region has experienced.

With about 10 to 12 mm received over the last 24 hours, it is expected the region will see upwards of another 15 mm through the day and into the evening.

Wind gusts of up to 28 km/h are expected throughout the day.

With the skies expected to clear later this week, area farmers will be getting a start on spring seeding.
