RCMP investigate shooting near Main Street in St. Paul

Police are seeking witnesses after a 25-year-old suffered a reported gunshot wound in the leg overnight on May 19. The incident occurred in St. Paul in the area of 50 St. and 49 Ave.

ST. PAUL – St. Paul RCMP are looking for witnesses in an alleged shooting that took place in the Town of St. Paul, early in the morning of May 19. 

Police received a complaint at 3:05 a.m. of a shooting that occurred in the area of 50 St. and 49 Ave.

“Upon arrival, RCMP spoke to a 25-year-old victim who was suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot injury to his leg,” according to a media release by RCMP, dated May 26.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

This incident is believed to be a targeted attack, police state. 

St. Paul RCMP continue to investigate this incident and look for witnesses in the matter.
