Police have recovered both vehicles, a black GMC Sierra and a white Dodge Ram Chassis, but only one suspect is in custody in connection to the thefts.

In the evening of Jan. 17, the black GMC Sierra was located by the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit in Fishing Lake Métis Settlement.

These include being in possession of a stolen truck, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while prohibited, possession of methamphetamine, breaking and entering, and three firearms offences.

Lajimodiere was held for a bail hearing where he was remanded in custody. His court appearance is set for Jan. 25.

The Dodge, which was a valuable company truck with custom oilfield equipment installed, was also located later that same evening and had been burned out.

Cold Lake RCMP located and recovered the truck two miles south of Cold Lake First Nations.

The RCMP investigation remains ongoing and anyone with knowledge of the theft is urged to contact Bonnyville RCMP.
