The first ever Lac La Biche Summer Concert festival was held during the Canada Day long weekend. The four-day event included free camping on the Knights of Columbus grounds alongside various music performances from June 30-July 3 that saw dozens of guests attend. Highlighting the long weekend performances on Saturday was rock band 11 Seconds from Sherwood Park. While the events were a blast, say organizers, the event was also a fundraiser to support Hope Haven Shelter in Lac La Biche and the nation-wide Cops for Cancer Foundation.
Organizers hope to host the event annually while simultaneously supporting great causes.
