ST. PAUL - It may have taken all day, but St. Paul Regional High School graduates were celebrated in a unique way on Saturday, with an event that abided by social distancing measures in place - and still saw graduates walk the red carpet in the school's gymnasium.
Starting in the morning and moving into the evening in alphabetical order, each graduate, along with his or her family, was given a five-minute time slot. After arriving at their allocated times, graduates entered the school's gymnasium to music, put on a graduation cap, posed for photos and received applause from the school's staff.
Many of the Grade 12 students still chose to dress up, as per tradition, with impressive gowns and suits, while others took a more casual route. The largest high school within St. Paul Education Regional Division had 102 graduates this year.
