ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Regional High School Saints curling teams all offered strong performances at this year's Alberta Schools' Athletic Association (ASAA) provincials, held from March 4 to 7 in Lethbridge.

"Our Saints curling teams had a tremendous amount of success at the 2020 ASAA curling provincial competition," said Angela Noel, assistant principal at St. Paul Regional.

The men's team won silver medals, losing out in the gold medal game to the team from Henry Wise Wood High School of Calgary.

The ladies team took home bronze medalis after winning a close game against the home team, Lethbridge Collegiate Institute.

While the mixed team played "extremely well," they did not make the semifinals.

"We are extremely proud of our athletes and all of their accomplishments this year," said Noel. The Saints curling team would like to extend a huge thank-you to the Town of St. Paul, County of St. Paul, and the St. Paul Curling Club for the support they provided to help the teams attend the competition.
