KEHEWIN – Just after midnight on March 26, the Bonnyville RCMP was dispatched to a residence in Kehewin Cree Nation after receiving reports of a man attempting to break in and enter a home.

A 24-year-old man from Saskatoon threw multiple items through windows, attempted to kick down a door and tried to climb into the residence, according to a statement by RCMP.

“The man also struck the homeowner with piece of siding from the house,” states RCMP.

Police arrested the 24-year-old and brought him before a Justice of the Peace who released him.

The Saskatoon resident is scheduled to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on April 19.
